Product Description Polar. RS100 Heart Rate Monitor's wrist unit displays and records your heart rate and exercise data during exercise. Enter your personal settings into the wrist unit and analyze exercise information after your workouts. The Polar Coded Transmitter sends your heart rate signal to the wrist unit. The electrode areas on the back of the transmitter detect your heart rate.

nice, light and complete August 29, 2010 A. Locatelli (London, UK) I had a more basic model before. This one is really light and it works well. Recommended for users who do not require a sophisticated model. =) just good!
Good simple to use heart rate monitor August 28, 2010 Janske Olde Wolbers 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
IT says what it does. Its easy to read and use. There was a comment by someone saying that it was difficult to read. I have to disagree its easy. There was also complaints about it beepeing all the time - just read the instructions it is easy to switch off.
It does max heart rate and percent max, as well as calories burnt, date and time.
The buttons are easy to use and if you hold down the upper left button it locks the watch so it doesn't start by itelf.
The only downside for me is that it can only store data for one person at a time and it can only store information about one exercise session at a time. I would have like to have two users and accumulative exercise stats. This is the only reason it didn't score 5 out of 5.
For the price its a great monitor. Highly recommend.
Good Running Watch August 4, 2010 Nat Brooks (Yorkshire) I got one of the RS100 for a guy I was training.
It has all the usual running functions of timex but it also has all the HR functions of a Polar. So it's good for running and at the gym and to wear as a watch everyday. Comfy transmitter strap. No speed and distance but we didn't need that. My client is looking to upgrade to an RS300X G1 for Christmas.
Great Value for Money July 14, 2010 Stoater Watch is really eaasy to use. Can automatically work out heart rate limits depending the Weight, Height, Age info you input. You can also manually set these limits. Has a useful review function at the end of a training session.
Display is clear and has a good backlight.
Really good product. Would recommend it for someone wanting to get more precise info for the running training.
Poor build quality and aftersales July 8, 2010 Mr. John de Sousa 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received my RS100 about 7 months ago, after 4 months the lower right hand button fell out and I had to send the unit for repair (postage costs at my expense). After a week or two the unit was returned with the button repaired but about a month later the button fell out again. I contacted Polar and they have asked me to send the unit back to them for a second repair. I don't think that this is acceptable as I will have incurred two lots of postage costs and will have a sub-standard unit. I would have expected to have the unit swapped out when it first became faulty as it was well within it's warranty period. Not sure if I'll buy a Polar product in the future.
Update:
Instead of returning my unit Polar sent me a packet full of replacement buttons. I replaced the missing button in about two seconds flat - quite why had me return the item for them to do this and then ask again for me to return the item is beyond me.....
