The webcam does not always work. It will work for a few minutes after connecting and sometimes not at all and then just goes dead. It will still have power and the microphone will still work, but no camera. I am on windows vista and so it should work auto once connected. I am not able to find it under device manager to check its status once connected. When it is on it does give a good picture, but then its not on long enough for one to make a proper assessment. If I had kept the receipts I would have returned it. From the experience I have had, I would not recommend.

I now am in the mind set that the only option is £50+ camera or don't bother at all.
Unless of course you want to start every Skype conversation apologising for the terribly grainy quality and that you're not really as pale and ill as you look then spend a bit more money.

I've now bought this and it is amazing HD quality!
Also the 6 megs is nothing like 6 megs on a camera/camera phone, more like 0.5

I think this is quite a good product with great picture quality although on Vista machines you cannot view the webcam on its own, you have to go on other programes like instant messenger ect.
